Even worse is that commonly phosphates contain CADMIUM:

    Quote from the above link:

Cadmium is toxic to a wide range of micro-organisms. However, the presence of sediment, high concentrations of dissolved salts or organic matter all reduce the toxic impact. The main effect is on growth and replication.

Now folks consider this too,POPS (persistent organic pollutants) present in ocean sediments are constantly being `stirred`,referred to normally as resuspension by the actions of trawling, marine exploration by drilling, the dredging of shipping channels and seismic charges used to ascertain mineral or oil deposits.
Mankind has historically used the oceans as a sink to wash away and dilute his excesses, sadly it was never a form of science that was in any way proven to be the answer.

This happened in the Straits of Tiran Red Sea on New Years Eve. http://www.divernet.com/home_diving_..._sea_reef.html
Anyone who knows this area will be incredulous that a modern ship can land on a well marked obstruction like Woodhouse Reef. This time there was no spillage but a large amount of coral was trashed. Hope the Egyptians sue the arse off China Shipping Line for the damage.

The insanity never seems to end!
Jaws has way more reason to fear us than we have to fear Him.
