Hey Pete
the easiest way to do it is to go to user control panel in this forum.
click on update avatar, look for the browse button towards the bottom . click and you can look in your computer for any pics that might be there. Click on the one you like and
click save. Thats all there is to the basic avatar. Most of this stuff is easier than you think.

ooops i forgot if you see a pic you like on the net right click and save to your computer. Send it to pics. Now you have it and can repeat the instructions above. Some pics require you to click on them normally and then right click to save.
